6 Brands From BBC Good Food Show You Need To Know About

BBC Good Food Show London

I always enjoy a visit to BBC Good Food Show, and this year was no different. Olympia London had two floors packed with deliciousness as well as some fantastic cooking demonstrations and pop up restaurants. I asked my friend Caroline to come along, as she is a keen cook and foodie. Together we ambled along the busy aisles sampling many different foods and drinks on the way.

We got so busy, we missed out on the cooking classes and talks, but at least we stumbled upon Michel Roux Jr!

Here are six of the brands that caught our eyes and taste buds.

Nicky Elliott from The Conscientious Cook makes the most unbelievable gluten free cakes without dairy or refined sugar. These healthy treats are designed to boost natural energy levels and promote wellbeing. We were very impressed. From Multi Millionaire Cashew Bars to Sweet Potato & Maple Syrup Brownies everything was really moreish. A real guilt-free indulgence.

So glad I came across Doisy & Dam‘s super delicious chocolate bars. They are made with superfoods such as goji berries, spirulina, lucuma, baobab, sprouted buckwheat etc.. Doisy & Dam source their organic chocolate from the Dominican Republic. The bars (a few of them are even suitable for vegans) are handmade in the UK.

Love this range of cold pressed plant based smoothies with no added sugar. They contain 10 grams of protein per bottle. Ideal for those with intolerances and food allergies, 4 Some Health‘s smoothies are dairy, wheat and gluten free. Available in four flavours: Strawberry Slam, Mango Passion, Berry Boom and Power Greens, the smoothies are packed with goodness thanks to added flax, hemp, poppy and pumpkin.

In the world of Peanut Butter, ManiLife Deep Roast is one of the best I have ever tested. Caroline and I both loved it. Using Argentine peanuts, ManiLife makes an all natural peanut butter which contains no palm oil or sugar. Argentine peanuts appear to be naturally sweeter and have a healthy fat profile similar to olive oil. ManiLife Deep Roast has a rich taste while ManiLife Original is more subtle. Perfect with fruits, porridge, toast or added to smoothies.

Perkier makes a delicious range of snacks and breakfast porridge packed with whole foods and nutrients. Their healthy quinoa bars are made with cacao, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashews or coconut. All vegans, they are also free of gluten, wheat and dairy.

OMG Tea brings matcha to a new level with its Grade AAA Organic Matcha as well as its Grade A Matcha Supplements. Top quality and top taste!
