These vegan chocolate & peanut energy bites make a delicious high protein snack. Not too sweet, they are a perfect post workout pick me up or an ideal middle of the day nibble.
Raw cacao and peanut butter pairs perfectly. If you want to make theses energy bites sweeter just add more date syrup.
I use Linwoods’ Milled Flaxseed Sunflower Pumpkin & Sesame Seeds & Goji Berries which you can buy in supermarkets and health stores. I always have a pack in my cupboard as I love it sprinkled on yoghurt and cerals.
If you do not have any, substitute with 2 Tbsp of the seeds of your choice that you can add to the blender at the beginning of the recipe with the dates. Same thing for the ground chia seeds. You can substitute these with 1 Tbsp of regular chia seeds and ground them with the dates.
