Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 25 g fresh ginger
  • 25 g fresh turmeric
  • Good grind of black pepper to taste
  • raw honey (optional) to taste

Instructions
 

  • Peel the orange and lemon.
    1 orange, 1 lemon
  • Wash the ginger and turmeric roots (no need to peel them).
    25 g fresh ginger, 25 g fresh turmeric
  • Cut the orange, lemon, ginger and turmeric into chunks.
  • Feed the chunks into the juicer to extract the juice.
  • Add a good grind of pepper and if using, sweeten to taste with honey.
    Good grind of black pepper, raw honey (optional)
  • Pour into glasses to serve straight away or into an airtight container if you are keeping the shots in the fridge (they should stay fresh for up to 72 hours when refrigerated). The recipe makes 2 to 4 shots.
