Make Your Own Pizza With Pizza Scuola At Ponti's Italian Kitchen

Calling all pizza lovers ! If you are looking for a fun evening out food experience in central London then you need to try Pizza Scuola At Ponti’s Italian Kitchen.

I was invited there this week with some other bloggers and we had a great time not only learning how to make pizza but also eating it!

Pizza Scuola is conveniently situated in central London on a quiet side street next to Oxford Circus. On arrival we were greeted with a complimentary Aperol Spritz aperitif. The pizza dough was prepared in advance so that the chef could show us how to properly roll it by hand. While he expertly flipped it in the air, most of us chose the safer approach of “stretching” and “light pounding” 🙂 . I was surprised to see that we stretched the dough in semolina but soon realised this was a much better option than flour, as it makes the crust less gooey.

A spread of delicious toppings included some cured meats, grilled artichokes, grilled courgettes, peppers and  aubergines, mozzarella, olives, fresh basil, onions, chillies, tomatoes etc..

I made a delicious vegetarian pizza which was then cooked into a woodstone oven.

Our pizzas were ready in no time and we spent the rest of the evening chatting as well as enjoying a yummy ice cream included in the meal. We were chuffed to all be #PizzaScuolaGrad !

While Pizza Scuola is part of the larger Ponti’s Italian Kitchen, the setting is intimate enough that you feel you have the restaurant to yourself.  A truly enjoyable experience and relaxed evening that you can either enjoy with your friends or while meeting other pizza lovers.
