This tasty Melon & Wheatgrass Protein Smoothie is invigorating and bursting with goodness. Healthy and comforting, I like its deep green colour and creaminess.

Wheatgrass is loaded with nutrients and is said to be detoxifying and an immune system booster. As an alternative, I also like Amazing Grass powders which are available in different flavours.
Here the silken tofu adds some extra lean proteins, while the melon is enhanced by the apple juice, ginger and lemon. If you like cold smoothies, make sure to swap the cold water for ice.
This recipe makes enough for 2 large smoothies that can be kept in the fridge in an airtight bottle for up to 3 days.
