This Avocado Toast with Za’atar is a simple yet flavourful twist on the classic avocado toast. The rich, creamy avocado is enhanced by the earthy, aromatic flavours of za’atar, a Middle Eastern spice blend that adds a delicious depth to every bite. Served on crispy sourdough or crusty bread, this toast makes a fantastic breakfast, light lunch, or snack. For an extra layer of flavour, try drizzling some olive oil and lemon juice on top or adding a sprinkle of feta and fresh herbs.

Avocado Toast With Zaatar

Avocado Toast with Zaatar: Quick and Delicious

This avocado toast with zaatar is a simple yet incredibly flavourful meal that comes together in minutes. This is one of my go-to lunches when I have no time to cook but still want something wholesome and satisfying. It also works wonderfully for breakfast or brunch, providing a delicious and nourishing start to the day.

Zaatar is a fragrant and aromatic spice blend from the Middle East, made with thyme, sumac, sesame seeds, and other herbs. You can easily find it in supermarkets or speciality stores, and it adds a beautifully earthy and tangy flavour to dishes. It pairs perfectly with the creaminess of avocado, creating a well-balanced and flavourful toast.

For extra texture and taste, serve this toast on crispy sourdough or wholegrain bread. You can also customise it with toppings like feta, cherry tomatoes, a drizzle of olive oil, or a squeeze of lemon juice. Zaatar isn’t just great with avocado—it also complements eggs, yoghurt, roasted vegetables, and dips, making it a versatile pantry staple.
