Fig Recipes

It is hard to beat fresh and ripe figs. Versatile and so delicious, they are one of summer and autumn's greatest joys. While Mediterranean countries are home to delicious varieties, growing a fig tree at home in the UK is possible and after a few years will provide you with ample supply. Figs pair beautifully with both sweet and savoury ingredients such as cheeses, nuts, salad leaves, honey, citrus fruits etc... Why not try adding some fresh figs to your breakfast bowls, toasts and salads? They also make beautiful cakes, tarts, chutneys, pizzas and relishes. UK Season: July to October
