How to Plan the Perfect Bridal Shower: A Helpful Guide

January 3, 2023 · The Flexitarian Leave a Comment

When one of your besties gets married, it’s time to throw her a bridal shower that she’ll never forget! Here is everything you need to know in order to plan the perfect bridal shower for your friend. From setting a date to sending out invitations, this article will cover it all!

1) Set the Date

The first step to planning the perfect bridal shower is to pick a date for the event. It’s important to pick a date that works for everyone – including yourself, the bride-to-be, and any other important people in her life who will be attending. Generally, it’s best to set the date at least six weeks before the wedding, as this gives you plenty of time to plan and prepare without interfering with any last-minute wedding preparations

When selecting a specific day, make sure you take into account any other events that may conflict with it. For example, if some of your guests are travelling from out of town, make sure you don’t select a weekend that is too close to their return trip home. Additionally, consider the season when setting the date; summer months may be more appropriate if you’re having an outdoor gathering or have planned activities like swimming or barbecuing

If you’re looking for something a little different, consider throwing a brunch-style bridal shower or an afternoon tea party. People may also prefer a late evening dinner over lunch or dinner parties as they can often be less expensive and more relaxed than large daytime gatherings. Whatever your preference is, make sure it reflects what the bride would want!

2) Book the perfect venue

Finding the perfect venue for a bridal shower is an important part of throwing a memorable event. While there are many options to consider, there are a few key elements that can help you pick the ideal spot

First, consider the size of your gathering and how many people will be attending. If your guest list is larger than 50 guests, you may need to look at venues that have enough space to fit everyone comfortably. To save on cost, consider looking for a venue that allows you to bring in your own food and drinks. This will also give you more flexibility when it comes to planning the shower menu. Additionally, make sure the location has adequate parking and easy access for those with mobility issues or young children.

Indoor venues can often be cheaper than outdoor locations, but they may also lack some of the ambience and atmosphere of an open-air setting. Consider what kind of atmosphere you want to create for your bridal shower when making this decision. Do you want something cosy and intimate or more festive and lively? Some great indoor venues include museums, art galleries, banquet halls and even private homes if they are available to rent!

Outdoor locations are usually more expensive but can create a truly unique event if done right. A garden party or backyard barbecue can make a great choice if the weather permits it – just make sure that all necessary arrangements are made in case of rain or other weather conditions! Lastly, consider any special features such as fire pits or outdoor seating areas that could enhance the atmosphere of your shower

No matter what type of venue you choose, make sure it reflects your style as well as that of the bride-to-be so that she feels truly celebrated on her special day! With careful planning and consideration, finding the perfect venue for a bridal shower doesn’t have to be complicated – just choose one that meets all of your needs and gives off the desired vibe for your celebration!

3) Organising delicious food

Organising delicious food for a bridal shower is one of the most important parts of hosting a successful event. There are many different options for the type of cuisine and budget you may have, so it’s important to consider what the bride-to-be would want and also what best suits your particular celebration

When deciding which menu to go with, consider what kind of atmosphere you are trying to create. For a more formal gathering, a sit-down dinner or buffet might be appropriate. On the other hand, if you are looking for something more relaxed and casual, then finger foods or appetisers could be the way to go. Additionally, think about any dietary restrictions your guests may have; it’s always good practice to include several vegan and vegetarian options on the menu in order to accommodate everyone

Another important consideration is whether or not you will be providing alcoholic beverages at your bridal shower. If so, make sure that there are plenty of non-alcoholic alternatives such as sparkling water and juices available for those who do not wish to drink. Additionally, consider providing light snacks such as chips or nuts throughout the day in case anyone gets hungry while they are mingling and chatting

Finally, try to find ways to add some personal touches that reflect the bride-to-be’s personality or interests. This could be anything from choosing dishes inspired by her favourite cuisine or incorporating her favourite colours into decorations like floral arrangements or table linens. Ultimately, putting thought into these details can help make your bridal shower truly special and memorable!

4) Choosing the perfect gift

Choosing the perfect gift for a bridal shower can be tricky. It’s important to think about what the bride-to-be would love or appreciate and also consider any practical gifts that she may need for her upcoming wedding or married life

A great place to start is by finding out some of the couple’s registry items that they haven’t yet received. This way, you know they will get something they truly want and need! If you don’t have access to their registry list, try asking close family members or friends who may have insight into what the couple has requested already

In conclusion, it’s also a nice gesture to give the bride-to-be something that she can keep as a special memory of her bridal shower. This could be anything from a beautiful piece of jewellery to a personalised photo album from Special Moment or even just an item with sentimental value such as a handwritten card or letter. No matter what gift you decide on, make sure it comes from the heart and reflects how much you care about her!

These are just some ideas for organising and finding the perfect gifts for any bridal shower. With careful planning and consideration, your celebration will be unforgettable – for both the bride-to-be and all who attend!
