Vintage Inns has unveiled a refreshed and extended new vegan menu that includes new dishes developed with the help of Vintage Inns chefs, who were quizzed on the menu items that they were asked to rustle up most often by guests.
Unsurprisingly, vegan burgers were found to be most popular with customers. The new vegan burger on the menu is a Spiced Chickpea, Aubergine & Spinach Burger on a rustic roll, dressed with a spiced red pepper sauce. It is served with a pesto & tomato dip and a roasted vegetable & grain salad.
Mains also includes a Roasted Winter Vegetable Tart (red pepper, beetroot and butternut squash in a basil & paprika pastry case, filled with a caramelised onion compote served with baby potatoes).
Amongst the choice of appetisers, you will find Wild Mushroom, Beetroot and Horseradish Pasties (served with beetroot hummus and a pineapple & ginger dressing) and Pine Nut & Carrot Falafels (with a spiced red pepper dip and toasted ciabatta).
To end on a sweet note, vegan desserts lovers can choose between Coconut Milk Sorbet & Strawberries, Coconut Panna Cotta Style Pudding or Bramley Apple Pie.
An enhanced selection of vegan drinks is also available to perfectly complement the meal. Options include a range of sharp and sweet bitter twists and the popular, alcohol free Thomas & Evans No.1.
Vintage Inns’ vegan menu is available Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, a selection of vegan dishes are available alongside the usual Sunday menu.
Rachel Westwood, marketing manager at Vintage Inns, said: “Nationally, vegan dishes have grown in popularity over the course of 2018, and in line with this we noticed a big increase in the number of guests ordering from our vegan menu across our pubs.
“We felt this represents a great opportunity to reflect on what our chefs have been rustling up across the country and examine what the UK public loves when it comes to eating vegan meals away from home.
“We look forward to our extended menu giving all our guests even more choice when it comes to plant-based meals when eating out.”
