Enter this week’s competition for a chance to win 1 THUD’s recipe box of 2 meals for 2 people.
THUD is a recipe box that makes it easy to eat delicious veg-based meals. The box drops through the letterbox so there’s no need to be at home, and inside are all the fresh veg, spices and herbs for two meals for two or four people along with recipe cards.
The box
- is designed to fit through most letterboxes (4cm high x 18cm wide)
- is delivered first class by Royal Mail so no need to be at home or book a delivery slot
- is designed to keep the vegetables, herbs and spices fresh
- is packed by hand to ensure all the produce is the best quality.
Interesting ingredients
The recipes use a variety of vegetables, herbs and spices including interesting ones that you might not find in the supermarket. A recent recipe included a curry paste made with fresh lemon grass, coriander, garlic, ginger and galangal, which is a root from the ginger family. “Our customers vary from novice to experienced cook, so I seek out interesting ingredients but you only need simple cooking skills,” explains recipe creator, Triona Benton.
The recipes are suitable for vegetarians and flexitarians. Each week one of the recipes includes a suggestion on how to add meat or fish to the dish, but it is only an optional extra as the dishes are created to work as vegetarian meals. An email sent in advance lets you know the basics, such as oil, eggs or pasta, that you will need to add from your larder or corner shop.

I’ve never heard of this box but it sounds great. There are so many box subscriptions recently popping up. Sounds great that it will just fit through the letterbox.
