Following the success of their other plant-based burgers, Haché has just launched a vegan Christmas burger!
This festive addition is made with a Beyond meat vegan patty, panko crusted Portobello mushroom, Brussels sprouts slaw and crispy sage, served on a bed of rocket with cranberry ketchup on a toasted Ciabatta bun.
I have become a fan of Haché since my last visit when I reviewed the scrumptious Beyond Le Fumé. I liked it so much, I was very excited when they invited me back to try their new vegan Christmas burger.
This time I headed to Haché Balham located on Bedford Hill, a short walk from Balham Station. This is a smaller location than the Holborn branch, with plenty of character. The charming brasserie-style décor is well complemented by the arched vaulted ceiling.
I am glad to say that once again, I was not disappointed. This festive take on Beyond Burger is truly original and absolutely delicious. The juicy and meaty vegan patty was cooked to perfection and I loved the punchy Brussels sprouts slaw which pairs so well with it. The panko crusted Portobello mushroom adds crunch and texture, while the cranberry ketchup brings a nice seasonal touch.
If meat substitutes are not your favourite, then I would suggest you try the amazing Secret Garden Burger instead. It is made from panko crusted portobello mushroom, spicy peanut sauce, crisp cavolo nero, avocado, sesame seeds, toasted ciabatta bun. Another delicious and unusual plant-based addition to Haché’s menu.
If you would like to try Haché’s vegan burger selection, I suggest you visit your nearest Haché restaurant on a Monday to take advantage of their Meatless Monday promotion. For every vegan burger you buy, the second is just £1! How is that for a great deal!
Haché’s vegan Christmas burger is available in all 7 Haché restaurants around London (check their website for details of your nearest one).
