Banana & Kiwi Smoothie

Forget storebought, plastic packaged smoothies with this super tasty banana & kiwi smoothie. Quick and easy to make, you can drink it straight away or pour in a reusable bottle to enjoy on-the-go.

Great for kids and adults alike, it is ideal for breakfast, as a mid-afternoon / mid-morning snack or as a post-workout rehydrating energy boost.

Packed with seasonal fruits and some vegs (a handful of spinach leaves), it is naturally sweetened with fruit and dates. I added some shelled hemp for extra goodness. You can substitute the shelled hemp with chia seeds or flax seeds if you prefer.

This banana & kiwi smoothie has a smooth & silky texture, but you can also add more water if you prefer a thinner consistency. It will keep refrigerated in an airtight bottle for a day or two.

Smoothies are so quick and easy to make, there are no real reasons why you should buy expensive branded ones in the shops. You only need a blender, some liquid, your favourite fruits and vegetables plus optional add-ons. They are ideal to use produce that are past their best or out of season frozen fruits.
