This banana & kiwi smoothie is a refreshing and nutritious blend, perfect for breakfast or a mid-day energy boost. The natural sweetness of banana balances the tangy flavour of kiwi, creating a deliciously smooth and creamy drink. Quick and easy to make, this smoothie is ideal for busy mornings or a post-workout refuel.

Banana & Kiwi Smoothie: Refreshing and Nutritious

Skip the store-bought, plastic-packaged smoothies and whip up this delicious, homemade banana & kiwi smoothie instead! Quick and easy to prepare, it is a refreshing blend of natural ingredients that you can enjoy straight away or pour into a reusable bottle for a nutritious drink on the go. Whether you’re looking for a wholesome breakfast, a mid-morning or afternoon pick-me-up, or a post-workout energy boost, this smoothie is packed with goodness to keep you fuelled throughout the day.

Filled with fruits and even a touch of greens (a handful of fresh spinach leaves), this smoothie is naturally sweetened with fruit and dates, eliminating the need for added sugar. To enhance its nutritional value, I’ve included shelled hemp seeds, which are rich in protein and healthy fats, though you can easily swap them for chia or flaxseeds if you prefer. The result is a smooth and creamy texture, but if you enjoy a thinner consistency, simply add a little more water to adjust it to your liking.

This banana & kiwi smoothie is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight bottle in the fridge for a day or two, making it a convenient option for meal prep.

Smoothies are one of the easiest and healthiest drinks to make at home, requiring just a blender, some liquid, your favourite fruits and veggies, and a few nutritious add-ons. They’re also a fantastic way to reduce food waste by using up overripe produce or out-of-season frozen fruits, proving that homemade is not only better for you but also better for the planet.
