This refreshing pomegranate and apple juice is naturally sweet, vibrant, and full of flavour. It also doubles beautifully as a simple mocktail.

Pomegranate Apple Juice

Easy Pomegranate & Apple Juice That Also Works as a Mocktail

This pomegranate and apple juice makes both a refreshing start of the day and a deliciously sweet mocktail. With only 2 ingredients, pomegranate and apple, this recipe isn’t just a vibrant ruby-red tonic for the eyes; it’s a genuine nutritional powerhouse. Forget those sugary, bottled juices from the supermarket shelves; making your own is so much better, and incredibly straightforward.

If you are new to juicing, make sure to check my Juicing for Beginners guide. It cover 9 common juicing mistakes and how to avoid them.

A Dual-Purpose Drink: Simple Juice or Speedy Mocktail

The best thing about this pomegranate and apple juice is its versatility. It is absolutely delightful on its own, but its gorgeous, deep colour and naturally sharp, sweet flavour also mean it doubles up perfectly as an easy, sophisticated mocktail base for the festive season.

I like it straight but you can also simply pour it over a generous amount of crushed ice, top it up with a splash of soda water or lemonade, and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary or mint. It’s a quick, non-alcoholic showstopper for any get-together, or just when you fancy something a bit more flash to brighten up your day.

Why a Slow Juicer is Best for This Recipe

To get the best flavour and the biggest nutritional boost, I always reach for a slow juicer like the Hurom H330P (also known as masticating juicer). Unlike fast, centrifugal juicers which generate heat and oxidise delicate nutrients , a slow juicer gently presses the fruit, keeping everything wonderfully intact. It is also perfect for nutritious wellness shot like my Easy Ginger Turmeric Shot.

This is especially important for pomegranates, which are packed with antioxidants you’ll want to preserve. The result? A higher juice yield, a smoother texture, and far less froth on top. And also less waste as a slow juicer extract more juice than a centrifugal juicer from the same amount of produce, leaving drier pulp.

Step 2: Feed Through the Slow Juicer

Feed the pomegranate seeds and apple chunks into the juicer to extract the juice.

Step 3: Serve This Pomegranate and Apple Juice

Pour in a glass to serve.

If serving as mocktail, pour in sugar‑rimmed glasses (I like to mix a bit of juice in the sugar to give in a ruby colour). I like to serve the juice straight but you can also pour it over a generous amount of crushed ice, top it up with a splash of soda water or lemonade, and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary or mint.

Storage

This pomegranate and apple juice is best consumed immediately, as nutrients and colour can diminish quickly.

Nutritional Value

This juice is not only delicious but also a nutritional powerhouse.

Pomegranates are known for their high concentration of powerful antioxidants that help combat free radicals in the body and reduce inflammation. They are also a good source of Vitamin C and Vitamin K as well as Folate. Apples provide a good dose of Vitamin C.

This juice contains only natural sugars (fructose) from the fruit, making it a wholesome alternative to refined-sugar drinks.

I hope you enjoy this pomegranate and apple juice recipe as much as I do. If you do make it, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram!
